on this issue I think the left attributes racism to ideas way more often in general I feel like the right dismisses views on the left as naive, while the left dismisses views on the right as hateful doing either is equally problematic and lack nuance

By left you mean liberals, liberals don't want border security because they know actual immigration reform would legalize to many cheap labor sources (illegals hired by corporations) same reason the right doesn't lmfao both left and right in America play for the same side. Actual leftists want border security and immigration reform so those same workers aren't exploited

agreed there, they're just spinning different narrative to appeal to the people voting for them. feel like at this point everyone knows the people in power are only doing what's best for them, and we're all just voting for people who might also do something that happens to benefit us downstream lol

Liberals aren't even left in the current political landscape though Liberals in America litterally said trump is Hitler and then went and collaborated with the most neo con aspects instead of embracing the progressive wing. Look at France where marcon undercut the socialist parties win and collaborated with the far right parties to undermine them. Lenin talked about this a lot, Liberals are fine in theroy but in reality when push comes to shove they'll always protect capital over the worker
