Why are users with low FIDs and 500+ followers quitting @warpcast? I just posted my thoughts about this on /flowcast @wanderloots.eth

Cool to read a bit of your story but unfortunately the frame doesn’t really render properly on mobile (half of text is cut off on right) and only slides 1-2 displayed before giving me an error message - just a heads up

Great article, Ser. I'm relatively new to Warpcaster, having joined only two months ago. /itookaphoto is my favorite channel, and I cast there daily. I have over 83,000 followers on Instagram, 8,000 on Twitter, and just 1,900 on Warpcaster. My daily degen allocation is around 500, yet I love Warpcaster because the engagement and people here feel genuine. Although I get more engagement on Instagram, most of it comes from bots.

Interesting thoughts Jonathan … I think web2 or 3, it’s the same … artists look for meaningful interactions, a real dialogue between the artist, art and whom looks at it. More than an emoji, and more than a tip …

Nice to hear about your journey JC! And also agree with the ‘innovators X early adopters’ — different names, but worked a lot on this in the past :) As for the question, here’s a brain dump (sorry, long txt). WP now feels similar to Twitter since 2020/21 (IG changed > artists moved to Twitter, rebuilt their audiences w/ good algo > NFTs happened & accelerated everything (huge financial incentive) > Twitter changed, bear hit and everything went downhill, w/ no NFT activity and less than 5% of your followers see your content). Despite WP's issues (imo UX, img quality etc), people have been craving for an alternative, at least to be seen. Degen accelerated it. Max euphoria etc. But PB happened, *** which I think has been such a bad decision ***, + degen cooled off. Max pain. (1/2)

Great article and perspectives. I can also see how this could/is the case for the examples you mention.
