Nearly every Elon tweet lately is an advertisement for decentralized social.

His takeover of X is the main reason I became a daily Farcaster user. There are likely millions of users there who want to leave for the same reason but don't know where to go.

We need to find the unlock, that will help our friends on X make a successful migration to Farcaster! Elon is definitely helping our cause, but we need to do more. CC: @betashop.eth @alexcomeau

What benefit does your reach bring you on X?

If we had a mass migration I would definitely use FC as my main social platform. I don't know what the key is, but it's such a huge cut in reach when I post here vs X. I just can't bring myself to move over 100% and leave that filthy platform - I pretty much only see art posts there at least.

The misconception that exposure matters on X or Instagram anymore 😞 😭. I think everyone is addicted to dopamine when they get likes, which is way more powerful than the pain of getting nothing for all the work they're doing. Unless you're in the top 1% on those platforms, you probably get nada.

Agreed. most of those left over they say they’re willing to take the bad for hopes of reaching more exposure 😔

And even more importantly, get them to stay! People I've brought over all quit within a day, depsite my best efforts.
