I want a pure stablecoin on-ramp and off-ramp. Like you kyc, wire money and receive USDC to an address, or vice versa. Not an exchange; you can use uniswap for that

What’s the practical difference between that and using something like Coinbase/Gemini as a fiat<>stablecoin on-ramp?

Those are exchanges, so it’s at minimum a 3 step process - Wire in (wait a day) - Exchange - Withdraw

Biggest thing is probably API access ... so as a developer you can use as infrastructure in your product
