ETH as the money/SoV of the onchain economy is the most important driver of value for ETH Every other value driver is additive but no where near as important as ETH being money Once you understand this, you stop seeing the matrix code and only see the woman in the red dress

If you believe this then you will know that it is urgent to limit the proportion of ETH that is staked, requiring a reduction in issuance. Otherwise ETH will effectively be replaced by an LST in the long term.

Of course, but I believe the current proposals that have been put forward do not address this issue - in fact, they most likely make it worse and kill solo staking.

There is not going to be any way to address this problem which does not involve a significant reduction in staking yield. As a solo staker myself I'm not thrilled about it, but I care more about the long term visibility of Ethereum.

What prevents pooled stake from punting down the risk curve into LRTs to keep yield competitive and degen capital following? I'm afraid you end up with most stake doing that which seems like a worse problem. I don't think we can rely on altruism for solo stakers and the network to thrive

That's going to happen to some extent anyway and is not a reason not to address the staking ratio.
