I’ve built three different businesses in tech and sold two. I don’t code. AMA

Firstly, congrats! Are there any common denominators that stand out in the businesses you sold?

Both were successful because of how quickly we adopted new tech. The IT consulting biz was competitive because of our ability to serve emerging products like cloud rendering, 3d printing and drones. The validator node biz was first to use index tokens to make it easy to share the value of our rewards with customers.

Very cool, given how (seemingly) different these types of companies are, curious how y'all chose to start them?

first one was simply me shifting from doing IT work for an employer to doing it for myself as a business. hardest part was learning how to run a business. second was quite literally an experiment started by a group of hackers at a local meetup. the rest is history, as they say.
