Don't leave the bare metal exposed for too long, it'll just develop more surface rust pretty quickly. Are you planning on just prepping it yourself to get it primed and painted?

bonus about living in phoenix is that there is little to no rust accumulation on vehicles. this most definitely does not help you lol good luck with that maybe rent a power tool for a day or two (idk how to do it so don't listen to my advice)
