Would love to hear others thoughts on this. If you’re an artist, what’s your strategy with them? If you’re a collector, how do you feel free mints will affect the value of artists other minted works? https://x.com/rdtothemoon/status/1816628410619162971?s=46&t=-Wh-eTHr_TysZEzr5OfcOQ

"Free mints" are like trading cards and a good way to get people collecting your art. Bu they are not editions or 1/1. @wanderloots.eth wrote about this and it's worth a read: https://warpcast.com/wanderloots.eth/0x2cca66ea

I feel like we’re heading towards microstock all over again and it feels like a major step back from the upgrade we were initially promised last cycle. I think they can be used in smart ways (event tickets, proof of ownership, premint passes, etc) but I struggle finding an strategy for art that doesnt devalue the rest of my minted work personally.

I agree with your concerns. Currently, the market for photography isn't strong. The overall NFT market is sluggish. The hype cycle is non-existent. @wanderloots.eth what do you think? How would you respond to @joellelb's concerns?
