I've been writing a song a day for 13years and 353 days. That's 5,101songs!

Born and raised in Westford, VT. Hartford now. 

I am in my 16th year of writing a Song A Day.

Pretty well. They’re all filmed, so looking at the video and listening does it. I also have http://songaday.world/explore, which has all the locations as well as a bunch of other traits

How well can you recall why and where you wrote a specific song, when you reread or listen to the words of that song?

This is the kind of level I want to achieve. Correct me if I'm wrong but this is more than motivation, I see this as a rigorous process of discipline and dedication where the passion doesn’t need inspiration to function. 🫡

Just discovered your channel for the first time! I really liked the 10-year old WTF I wanted an iPhone... Also DJT Sniff Song very cool. Noticing many stylistic turns, could you maybe describe how your songwriting methods have developed through the years?

I dig old computers and used bookstores. 

I do! It’s hard! You have to sort of be willing to phone one or the other in. To put the work in for the work’s sake. And see what happens

Do you write any songs other than for your daily songs? If so, how do you balance the shifting. I’ve been writing a short story every week this whole year, but it’s definitely halted my novel-writing work!

No! The closest is when I’m working on a song for a long time like song 5000, but even then I’m working on other songs for other days.
