the major stablecoin providers can freeze my funds as easily as a bank how do they benefit the world if the version of stablecoins the government is going to allow will be as locked down as tradfi payments?

Totally true! This brings us to trusting algorithmic stablecoins. But, you know, most of them still lean on centralized stablecoins to keep things stable.

yeah I just don't care about the algo stablecoins because: a) like you said, heavy reliance on centralized stablecoins / trusted 3rd parties b) the goal here is replace government money...I just don't give af about trying to bring government money "on the blockchain"
