I think there’s this strange assumption in a lot of crypto social that everything should be for sale in some way or another. But in all honesty, there’s a lot of times where I want to broadcast without anyone being able to buy or even collect it.

two reasons imo: 1. founders of companies that profit off of content and interactions being for sale set the (biased) narratives 2. the crypto community leans toward an “everybody owns = everybody profits” narrative instead of “nobody owns = nobody profits”

Hmmmm yes, this makes sense. I’d argue tho that, especially since really doing some work on enjoying leisure, the obsession with sales is a byproduct of obsession with productivity. Although free to collect has a diff vibe — moreso about curation and accessibility
