Outside of their strong Israel bias, their stuff is fair

a publication is as good as its people, and the people are ideologically inconsistent and two-faced in their approach.

as an example, Pirate Wires is heavily biased but at least they’re transparent about what you’re getting. from day one of Bari going independent (and maybe even before) she has been disingenuous about her own politics and writing and that culture has carried into the rest of the publication

why?

bari is an incredible writer, worked her ass off to build FP from zero, and is as opinionated as any other new media source these days

i can understand not liking her bias, but to call her publication a joke just feels wrong

Clarification for those that might not understand the FP reference, it's short for the Free Press not Foreign Policy magazine

Say more? I love the FP, even though I don’t love a lot of their contributors / staff
