My hot take is that prediction markets are pure gambling – worse than memecoins – and I don't think normalizing them is good for society

At least they have a defined ending and you know if you won or lost With memecoins you could “win” (choose a good coin) but then end up losing money because you didn’t exit at the right time

on the flip side, with a memecoin you *own* something that *could* be used in the future. it's still an asset, even if it's a silly one.

I agree with you about tokens “memecoin” is a loaded term but the majority of coins that it currently represents have no intrinsic value and will go to zero Renting vs. buying but I know I’d rather not be stuck with the mortgage on a depreciating house 🫣
