Hot take: Consumer dapps don’t suck β€” they just haven't been around long enough to find PMF As Lenny Rachitsky points out, it typically takes 2 years to start feeling PMF, and for many successful apps, it took 3-5 years So it’s no surprise that only a few crypto companies have found PMF. Just look at those that have: - @undefined (2016) β†’ DeFi Summer 2020 - @opensea (2017) β†’ NFT Boom 2021 - @axieinfinity (2018) β†’ Bull Market 2021 - @uniswap (2018) β†’ DeFi Summer 2020 - @polymarket (2020) β†’ Election Season 2024 Each took 2-4 years to achieve PMF through relentless iteration and a bit of luck with market timing The next wave of great dapps is coming β€” it just might take longer than you think

Can someone enlighten me more on Figma taking 3.5 years to go live? Trying to understand the space before it. 1 year from first customer to feeling PMF is another insight I loosely take from this.
