First foray into IFPS with the Piñata SDK and it’s clearly broken with the last update 4 months ago. I’d like to decentralize but tempted to just use a Firebase backend for my project. Any recommendations? Just need to store simple json entries.

Same, it’s been my go-to for a while now. I like how it starts a podcast 10 seconds behind if you’re coming back to it. Also configurable skip forward times for those pods with predictable ad breaks

It's interesting that Twitter could have gone the same way by sharing its graph without decentralization. End result for users would be the same. I remember when the API had a rule about 3rd party clients only supporting a max of 100k users.

Flying west is so much easier than east. I honestly just make plans around it - make sure to not schedule anything taxing or fly a day before you're required to be 'on'.

I enjoy using Apple Pay only because Apple force its availability on iOS, a little like their rule about sign in with Apple being required if another method is available (like FB). I'm not too keen on centralization here but if I can use an app without FB it's a +1 in my book

Web3's end state is to blend invisibly into the background where only technologists will be aware of its inner workings and the rest of the world reaps the benefits. Excited for the day it become part of the OS layer!
