zero cree T0V: I cannot express enough how wonderful it is to see this collection that emphasizes Cree language and culture. Digital artwork is very heavily tilted toward using the English language and incorporating a shared global culture. Bringing out into the open something more vernacular is refreshing and artistically fulfilling. With my lack of skill to read the Cree words used, the esoteric nature of the artwork titles and descriptions are looming. Even the English descriptions gave me pause mostly wondering instead of understanding. A mix of haunting cultural imagery and minimalist animation leaves me feeling deeply inadequate in my attempt to comprehend. This is one of those amazing elements of art. The ability to make me feel small, feel like an outsider, and that others out there know a lot more about somethings than I ever will.
