Why do I have to beg my boyfriend to wear sunscreen so he doesn’t get skin cancer and die

All too familiar! Where is the literature on why / how sunblock is bad for you? The vague response I get is “it isn’t lindy”…

Not quite sure about sunblock itself being bad for you, the proper SPF (30+) can definitely protect your skin from bad UV rays! 70-80%+ of skin cancers are caused by overexposure to UV radiation so I believe sunblock is actually great in that sense… ✨

The criticism is mainly around a lot of the big-brand sunscreens have been recalled for being carcinogenic (J&J for example) If you use a non-nano zinc oxide sunscreen w no benzene/etc., should be fine (at least from what I've read fwiw) https://wapo.st/3M6zm57
