@WazzCrypto @Fiskantes If you put in $20 into a candy crush loot box you have $0 in minutes.  Like loot boxes, memecoins are purely digital and have no value.  The only reason to trade them is for the trading experience itself.

Yesterday, I asked whether long-term alignment can ever find product/market fit in a space that thrives on speculation and short-term wins. 

Several of you shared really interesting feedback that helped me to expand my thoughts on this paradox—how builders with long-term vision are forced to navigate a market that overwhelmingly rewards extractive, high-volatility plays.

Is there a way forward? Or are we doomed to repeat the same cycles forever?

I totally agree! The issue is that people tend to use the term "meme" to refer to all those culture, meme, and media-related coins.

I’d like to see one that actually has significant value, culturally that is￼ that is performing decently now/near future that hasn’t been thrown to the side by its believers.
While I absolutely love memes and have even worked within that type of market in web3, I have a hard time believing this if everything is constantly being sent to zero like Pepe which is the largest one to date and precedes crypto.

all memes are gambling, so all people who trade memes are gamblers including me
