yeah, i'm not sure what exactly y'all do, but i definitely see that anytime folks attempt to abstract over the chain (e.g. custodial interfaces), the advantages pretty rapidly tail off.

i agree! you're casting on farcaster which is built onchain at least partially (identity, assets, payments) and it's free for you.

In my opinion the next planet scale social app will not cost users 10c  per interaction which is where I think most most ethereum L2 social protocols land at in best case scenario if volume picks up

definitely tradeoffs! but writing smart contracts while leveraging shared identity and payments primitives is a hugely powerful technical platform.

e.g. look at something like Zora Nouns Builder or Farcaster. those are being built with a handful of engineers max and are hugely complex economic/social systems.
