Are you/coinbase still involved in on the ground outreach in Oakland/SF? I thought the work with the farmer's markets and other community events was awesome Now that USDC is easier than ever to use on base it could be even better!

yes! still very much involved! for those curious, he's talking about oak.community. we have a live stablecoin (OAK, you can swap for it at swap.oak.community) and have done a bunch of in person testing. but we actually put things on pause late last year bc the PoS tools just weren't there. over the last 6 months, mostly led by @chintan, we've started making a ton of progress on the PoS side. and we've started running a more sustained GTM with USDC at acceptusdc.com. my hope is that with another 6 months of dialing in the merchant + user experience, it'll all "just work" and then we can layer back in OAK for the GTM in oakland specifically. think this is such a great example of onchain composability: if we make it all work for USDC, it will *also* just work for OAK, because it's just another ERC20 running on base. that's basically magic from my perspective.
