inspired by @dwr.eth, the @base team now spends all our time thinking about how we grow: - quality monthly transacting addresses (qMTA) - quality monthly transacting builders (qMTB) there's so much noise (and misdirection) in onchain metrics and it's been very helpful to focus in on the signal.

we likely won't share exact heuristics due to it then being more easily gameable, but our current criteria include: - having identity attributes (e.g. ENS, coinbase verification, worldcoin ID) - holding a balance >= X - transacting across Y number real apps over Z period - deploying contracts

I started spending more time on Base as more projects began to emerge that not only offered to buy, but also provided value. And it means (for me) not only defi yields, but fun things like PartyDAO, $wowow, other collective actions.

Just some thoughts: - using a FIAT on-ramp instead of bridge/ CEX (is there one on base? Might be a better KPI for other L2s) - median balance probably better than snapshot (cause chain hoppers always take their whole balance to max „LTV volume“ + ENS like time component can’t be faked)
