I wake up every day thinking about how to bring a billion people onchain, and the reality is we can’t do that by continuing to only onboard people who are already interested in crypto. we have to expand the pie and to do that, i think the answer is all of the above. the mission is to build a global onchain economy that includes all of us.
payments is a great example of how getting onchain can improve people’s lives. I saw firsthand when traveling around the world last year how important foreign exchange and international payments are for people to tap into a global economy. local currency stablecoins and fast, cheap onchain payments solve a clear problem for a lot of people: they are near-instant instead of taking days, and cost less than a penny (in USD) as opposed to 3% or 50 USD or more.
onchain finance, social, entertainment, music, art, gaming, content… all of it can improve people’s lives by putting control into the hands of builders and creators rather than centralized corps. 4 replies

yes, and we already have killer features like RWAs (to store money onchain without any risks), crypto payments (only on web3 products and particularly on irl products), faster than light transactions, monerium and miniapps. But I think that’s not the thing, not many people are interested in doing something with their money, they only want to have it in fiat, to store it and to earn it by being exploited by companies (just kidding). So maybe we need to make some DePIN, irl mass adopted crypto payments, giving the masses some cool benefits to use crypto? And, especially, make crypto decentralized again without any regulations from US, EU and other countries :)
I can’t even use Uniswap because of regulations, it’s banned in Ukraine. And I really don’t understand why, there’s so much people using the cypto… 0 reply
