next quarter, we're trying to figure out if @coinbase can mint the quarterly earnings results as an NFT on @base *before* publishing them to social or website or anywhere else i love the idea of analysts and traders with bloomberg in one window and basescan.org in another — waiting for the results to hit the chain

You’ll have a tough time getting this approved. Maybe before social, but doubt you’ll be allowed to mint before earnings release gets posted on the site. Crux will be whether an NFT drop is considered selective or public disclosure. It’ll boil down to legal’s risk tolerance, which is usually very low 😅

I think it’s unlikely - SEC generally wants things easily accessible. I think minting in parallel is likely the optimal path.
