if i could go back and do it again, i would have had the @base account more explicitly say we were going to coin lots of content onchain upfront. i'd been shouting it from the rooftops on my own account, which i mistakenly assumed was enough. to be clear, i still think there would have been the exact same reaction, but it still would have been good to do.

other than that, i feel like it was a good lesson in patience and positivity. when you do things that are norm breaking, there will always be backlash. having conviction in where we're going helps — but it still requires relentless practice to stay calm, cool, and collected.

Good perspective. I agree that it would’ve been the same reaction and you can almost always do better on comms when you’re looking back.

I like that you’re willing to take chances, iterate and learn in public.
