anyone want to diagnose why we voted down the One Noun 3D Animation but passed The Nouns Square? from a pure reach, ON3A is doing 2-5x+ reach of TNS - not as fully nouns content, but also commitment is 1/5 spend wise. to be clear, I love TNS, so not about them - just curious why there's such a big misalignment.

FWIW, my take is that we should be doing both. they are targeting different audiences with different content types. both are showing great results. both are contributing in different ways.

one other note: it's been brought to my attention that a lot of the comments and engagement on videos look like fake engagement. this is concerning and if it's not genuine, would make a big impact on assessment. would love to understand if anyone's dug deeper there.

i voted against ON3A because content is not what i'd want nouns to be represented by. the metrics are fantastic, but it's not something id want my kid watching (which i assume is the target for these videos). re TNS, i suspect it passed (in contrast to ON3A) because output is more aligned + function is core to nouns

I’d guess it’s related to the content itself. The metrics are impressive for sure, but the artistic direction the project is taking is something that I personally don’t resonate much, so I’d vote against.

i think the quality of the reach feels different to me to make apples to apples comparison on the view count. ON3A is like youtube shorts that are very short and low context gag videos. TNS is much higher context harder to earn views like if you think of the zero rights podcast listens etc.

Can’t compare both but regarding ON3A the answer is quality over quantity, IMO.

Think it’s fair to look at the history of TNS constant experimentation, community outreach and quest for perfect PMF and say this group is dedicated to expanding the core and tertiary groups of Nouns curious and building bridges to many different communities. Personally think we should have prob supported both atm
