appreciation

i ask you one favor:

take 20 full seconds to really think about an event, even if it was just for split second, that was out of the ordinary

This one’s a little twisted, but I have to give a little background first before I tell you.

The programmers at work are getting slammed; ever since the beginning of this year - non-stop work and so many concurrent projects that we can’t keep up.  They will pay us overtime, but for all of us it’s more a function of work life balance.

Anyway, last night my co-worker and I were both working past midnight trying to catch up a tiny bit.  So, I’m appreciative of my co-worker who helped us get some of our deliverables done last night.  We’re both burning the candles at both ends; our kids and spouses were asleep and here we were…insanity…have to wait up in 5 hours and I’m frickin’ coding and she’s running system jobs.  Craziness, but despite it all, I appreciate my co-worker for being as crazy as I am. 😆
