Holy cow there's an /aoe2 channel... dangus. This game was formative in my teens... few games can compare to it even now. I personally loved AOE2 more than anything in the C&C series, maybe even more than Warcraft 1 & 2.

Omg command and conquer - haven’t heard that mentioned in a long while. It’s tough to pit Warcraft 1 & 2 against AoE or even the StarCraft series. They each have their merits and strengths. A better comparison is perhaps Age of Empires versus Age of Mythology.
