A good illustration of why the problem of filtering out "spam" is challenging. Most of these accounts are not spam. They are uninteresting to this particular person. One person's spam is another person's friend. It's a relative definition. If you donā€™t follow these users, even with the power badge, low likelihood youā€™ll see them. And if they are really offensive, just mute.

I woke up to find myself on the list and the whole thread has been a fascinating read this morning. My take is that itā€™s wholly subjective. One manā€™s ā€œspamā€ is another manā€™s ā€œcultureā€. Ultimately EVERYONE on social media is engagement farming to some extent. I personally think this is where Farcaster has the edge with channels. The solution for me is providing users the option to mute specific channels and then allowing specific channels to set their own rules. Iā€™m not a fan of silencing people in society just because we donā€™t like what they have to say. It should be the listenersā€™ choice who they listen to.
