I am pausing my activity on Warpcast for the foreseeable future due to the current issue with large number of bots.

Recent posts over the past few months have received hundreds of likes and recasts coming mostly from bots.

We did a deep dive into this today. Main takeaways:

1. The "bots" are humans and we catch a lot of them. 

2. They target famous accounts like @zachxbt a lot more often. 

3. They're evolving to only like/recast spamming

Interesting read. Thanks for sharing. Anecdotally I completely agree. I don’t see much interaction from bots but think a lot of interaction comes from “low effort” humans.

Ultimately a lot of people came here initially to make money last year when degen had its first big run up so I think fundamentally a lot of accounts are primarily financially driven and it will take some time for the last of these users to drop off.

The more Farcaster grows the more the situation should naturally right itself imo as it will become harder and harder for these accounts to achieve a top ranking.
