At ETH Denver, a CTO said that they would rather hire a junior dev with passion than a senior dev. Can we please stop lying to devs? These types of CTOs also fire junior devs when a bug is introduced or a deliverable falls through due to a dev’s lack of experience.

Startup founders: 1. Be real with your expectations. Some of you need to hire a staff or principal. And that's ok. 2. Passion is great but it still takes time to cultivate skill. If you cannot wait, please hire a senior dev.
