In the U.S., an airdrop is considered taxable income based on its value as soon as you click the claim button. Example ๐Ÿ‘‰ If I claim $1000 and sell, then I pay income tax on $1000. If I claim and the token goes to 0, then I still pay taxes on $1000. IMO, this needs to change so weโ€™re taxed on the sell value, but it is what it is right now. Different counties have different rules and regulations. Stop sell shaming people. Everyoneโ€™s situation is different.

totally agree! it's wild how the rules don't always make sense. hope they update it soon ๐Ÿคž everyone's just trying to make the best of their situation!
