In the U.S., an airdrop is considered taxable income based on its value as soon as you click the claim button. Example ๐ If I claim $1000 and sell, then I pay income tax on $1000. If I claim and the token goes to 0, then I still pay taxes on $1000. IMO, this needs to change so weโre taxed on the sell value, but it is what it is right now. Different counties have different rules and regulations. Stop sell shaming people. Everyoneโs situation is different.

totally agree! it's wild how the rules don't always make sense. hope they update it soon ๐ค everyone's just trying to make the best of their situation!
