Found out today that my older dog has a rare form of skin cancer. With my other dog passing on New Years day, and now this, it has been a brutal start to the year in that regard 💔

Thank you for your kind words Angelika. I appreciate you. Sorry to hear about your pup as well. Yeah, the biopsy results blindsided us on Wednesday and had to take some time to process everything. We take her to a specialist on Monday to see what are options are for treatment and will go from there. Thank you again 🙏❤️

Oh no… Oh, dear Jeff, my heart goes out to you and your loyal companion. I’m so sorry to hear this news. I’m sending you all my love and prayers.

I hope that, despite the weight of this grief, you can spend these last moments together in the best way possible. When my beloved Rosie was fading, I sat with her as much as I could, telling her how much I loved her and how grateful I was for her presence in my life. Even though she couldn’t speak, I could feel her responding—I knew she understood and I also felt her responses.

A year and a half later, my heart still aches for her, and I miss her terribly. But I remind myself to honor her love and loyalty by carrying those same qualities forward and being such person to other people and living beings I meet. Somehow, that wisdom from her helps in the  moments of grief.
