Is that the correct comparison? Non-miner/non-staker nodes don’t put data onto the network. Also, if all non-miner/non-staker nodes decide it was too expensive/not worth their time, we can still connect to the incentivised network of stakers. Also - do we even know how many of them are non-stakers?

How are Bitcoin or Ethereum nodes? Plenty of non-miner / non-staker nodes on the network?

If the network has valuable data, people will want direct access to it assuming you keep costs reasonable.
