I'm starting to get into bouldering. For the climbers: Other than doing the thing, any YouTube channels or resources I should dive into to get better?

Firstly focus on technique and healthy joints. If you feel any aches in your elbow or fingers treat it with respect and see a physio. The biggest thing hindering progress is chronic injuries, elbow tendotitis, finger synovitis. Correcting technique and reducing impact on joints is most important. Otherwise enjoy, climbing is natural and you’ll learn very quickly how to climb reasonably well. If you want to progress from there, I’d video yourself often. Post here for feedback! And review your own footage. Repeat easier climbs religiously and try and make it feel more balanced, fluid and less powerful. This prioritises coordination of multiple joints, the “feeling” of balance and using your body as whole rather than pulling with your upper body (which is the most common mistake for men first starting to boulder). Strength training is important at some point for protecting your joints but also to progress. Having a simple and low volume fingerboard routine after a few months isn’t a bad thing.
