American political discourse is dominated by vibes, chasing mic-drops moments, celebrity endorsements, and children of presidential or vice presidential candidates. This is mindblowing to outsiders who are used to discussing policies. I lived in countries where people go nuts over politics, but it's rarely this petty, focused so little on political stances.

Yes and it's even the surrounding conversations pushed by both sides of the media are at that level
