The Internet was built on open protocols. You didn't have to ask permission to innovate and build on top. You just... did.

The beauty of permissionless blockchains is that they bring back the OG openness while ensuring an economic incentive for builders.

No one can stop me from pushing smart contracts on ETH, or integrating with Uniswap.

This IMHO is integral for a true marketplace of ideas.
