Disagree on both points, based on a close reading of the diagnostic criteria for ADHD and the different categories of ADHD presentation. TL;DR – no reasonably competent clinician applying standard diagnostic criteria would confuse situational boredom with ADHD.

Agreed, there is nuance. This convo is touching on all kinds of intersectional and systemic inequities. And that also includes the education and professional development resources for bringing up multiple generations of mental health professionals.
