I like infra too, I've found working at an infrastructure company great for this. I get both users/product (not just other internal devs), but also still get to focus on infrastructure

I currently use kube-prometheus exactly as described, then replicate important metrics to hosted grafana with their inbuilt paging. Partially this is because we operate many independent stamps.

Kalshi has a great experience for non-binary predictions where they'll have several contracts with increasing thresholds. Good way to get an estimate of a continuous outcome.
