I don't love this $Degen price action. 

we are back to basically pre-Coinbase Listing days: 

- $Solana announcement has done nothing
- now there is a war on farmers, again ...
- vibes are low because we are red on the daily

silver lining is that broad $ETH market is red.  not losing faith, but we need some catalysts to turn it around.

we aren't seeing any real sustained buying ... when everything goes down, we go down, when it goes up, we barely go up.

yes and no.

I think in the case of Degen, as a tipping currency, you are naturally influenced by it’s price. If I tip you $10 or $1 equivalent, that matters.

Conversely, to obsess over it is damaging to the long-term vision.

I think there is an equilibrium point; furthermore, it feels to me like it is being manipulated, whether by Farmers or whoever, so keeping an eye on that too.

I don’t disagree in some ways, although when I saw Solana (the chain) itself getting excited about Degen I thought there might be some strategy there.

Tipping still feels convoluted and complicated, but it is also an innovation that could scale distribution onto X.

If it is ‘just a memecoin’ in the end, the brand is still worth something. 

Some good points for sure, mainly that if there is a full chain there then there needs to be something novel to do on it, and so this needs to be heavily incentivized

The problem is always Degen is doing stuff without any hype. L3 and Solana launched and there was not a single interesting app on either, so why care? The only thing Degen has for itself is price action & community and both are not looking too well. Tipping doesn’t matter much anymore so it’s literally just a memecoin rn

it's not fun, and hard questions need to be asked, but things can always turn around in a heartbeat with a token like this

well that's a strategy I could get behind ... way better than wasting resources on going after the farmers (again ...) imo

I think sol will catch on , if you look at sol ham it's been going back up lately weeks after it's launch

If the sol market learns more about degen allowance maybe they'll come to base
