Domain squatters of any type are a blight to productivity and innovation. They actively spoil it. Imagine if you’re in class and everyone is told they need to come get materials, then 1 kid runs up first, grabs everything, then says the same thing but adds the cost of a $1. Fuck that kid, let’s kick his ass. That makes me think, I would love to fight the founder(s) of moonpay or transak. Rent seeking with no value creation is totally a thing you can do, you’re just a lower form of life if you do it

Anyone can start a registry. You just need to get people together and say "Let's build a new registry". You can create a competitor to ICANN.
