Our top priority this week is fixing spam in popular channels. The core problem is: - Channels with large distribution attract casters - Some casters post spam or even just slightly off topic stuff - Moderating it is exhausting and thankless We want to find a solution that can be decentralized across clients.

my understanding is that being decentralized means it’s becomes a function of the protocol and therefore available to any and every tool built on top of said protocol

Seems like “decentralized” is the wrong term here then. Distributed seems more appropriate

there’s always room to debate terms. lacking central control is why this one makes sense to me as opposed to say AWS, which is distributed but mos-def features centralized control
