Things I learned in 2024 that I will take into 2025:

- saying no right away is better than saying yes but then being a flake

- being around founders all the time is ta great way to stay hopeful and optimistic about young people and is a nice counter to the generalizations about younger generations in mainstream narratives etc

- you don’t get what you don’t ask for

- IRL is still so so so important (especially in business) for so many reasons vs remote norms 

- there is a big difference in wanting people to think of you as “nice” vs someone with high integrity and having the courage of your convictions 

- the people right in front of you—family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, school parents, etc—matter so so so much more than national politics 

- being open minded and curious about literally everything (vs self righteous and smug) makes life really good
