Free open edition NFTs. I’m struggling to understand why we continue to do it. I have minted a lot, but the constant stream of free mints is reducing my interest in collecting and supporting new art.

Isn’t it basically like it doesn’t take any grinding to collect a certain artist. Back in the days I always valued videogames I had to grind money for WAY over games I just gotten for free.

with current options like protocol rewards, much better to have a time-limited drop, 24h-48h and earn with the protocol

by this point we're all conditioned to mint anything in sight juuust in case it leads to some perks in the future (whitelist to a limited edition, airdrop, access codes etc.). also pretty low investment for the creator I'd imagine (unsure tho) that said, I've def hit free mint fatigue as well
