2. if you could change anything about the discovery process, what would you change?

1. i see their casts or replies - helps me know that they’re active 

2.A make it easier for me to know that the user casts. i ignore the list views because i know most users aren’t active

2.B your question made me think a  “justunfollow” like tool to unfollow inactive users would be helpful
