Do you use AllTrails?

I did for awhile but churned because it doesn’t have the best trails and find the ux to be a little heavy. My goto trails solution is google satellite view + look for unmarked trails

Just saw this and thought about you. I haven’t used it yet. So I’m not sure how good it truly is. https://lifehacker.com/tech/organic-maps-is-the-best-offline-maps-app-for-hiking

Very helpful. Usually I screenshot google maps whenever I know I'm not going to have signal. Had a couple of scares without water 😅

You can download an area with that one. Hmm. Not bad. We were following on AllTrails last Friday then suddenly ended up off trail. So we cut across the deep sides & recovered. It’s interesting when you really don’t know where you are.
