I’ve had pizza twice since arriving in LA from NYC. Both times, the pizza came with a 3 slot side tray with an herb, some cheese, and something spicy. Is this the norm in LA? Or is it just a Venice beach norm? Even when having fancy pizza in NYC, I’ve never had the three garnish trivet(?) experience.

Next time when they ask if you have any food allergies tell them “yes, I’m severely allergic to pretension, please just bring me Tabasco and powdered Parmesan like a normal restaurant”
