an observation (that may come off as insensitive):

some of the people with the strongest emotional reaction to the recent market downturn are those whose near-term lives won't materially change.

no immediate plans to buy a home, retire, pay for school, etc. no liquidity needs, no LPs to whom they need to deliver.

I think it’s a proximity response too. It’s really a Rorschach test of growth mindset… those of us who didn’t or couldn’t buy the shit out the market in Mar 2020 are now like
