GM to the dreamers! I received the first draft of the "ultra sustainable ultra affordable kinda tiny" house plans. 650 sq. ft of interior space. I'm asking for input this weekend! What do you like? What do you not like? Could you live here? What would you add? There will be a separate carport/workshop/office on site too. Keep in mind, it's being designed for a single dude and a dog or a couple...I look forward to feedback! I have a meeting with the designer scheduled again for next week to discuss changes and ideas. (the walls are thicc because this is an earthbag home) ✌️ ❤️ 🌍

Very slick!! I have thin windows like that above the door to my office.  They provide negligible light and it’s another window to clean or cover.  I think I’d eliminate them in favor of simplicity (or just make taller doors)

More to clean, more to maintain long term.  Your designer is probably right!  But my guess is those taller doors are less expensive than all of the extra labor & parts for the windows.  

+ My door faces harsh afternoon sun so i need blinds.

Mainly its design and not function lol. I don't mind cleaning, windows and doors that are taller seem to cost significantly more money which is why they aren't just big ol windows. The designer was prompted to be frugal in build cost. Is the cleaning the main issue?
