Both Mexico and California have small avocado crops this year with smaller fruit. Bigger fruit is commanding better prices right now. For Hass we can harvest an early crop and aim to pick only the largest fruit on the tree. This lets the tree focus on increasing the size of the remaining fruit which we’ll harvest in the summer.
