What's on your mind re: Farcaster? Feels like there's been a subtle uptick in negativity recently directed at a variety of people / teams. I'd rather that be directed my way. Curious to hear what people are frustrated with in the replies. Will only ask clarifying questions, i.e. no arguing or defending or telling you that you're wrong. And then I'll do a video response in a few days sharing our latest thinking based on any common themes.

It seems like Bluesky has been able to capture some of the marketshare of various communities leaving Twitter (tech and urbanism Twitter are the two I’m privy to). Have you thought about why Bluesky was successful in attracting these users and what Farcaster could learn from it?

I am not the OP but answering anyway :-). Bluesky has had since day 1 major media posting on their protocol. They have most probably run an outreach campaign to get them onboard. And Jack helped for sure. A twitter-like platform without the big news account cannot have a good enough user stickiness to prevent churn. People will go where the news is.

I agree this is a significant lack on FC. There's not much news that is being generated here. I'm still having to go to X to find content to share here.

And once you are there, you are caught by the algo… I have made a rss to cast solution that would make it seamless for news providers to cast. I just don’t have the juice anymore to beg everyone to use Farcaster

Another issue is that most people don't understand nor are motivated by crypto. I'm giving away Degen to good casters in politics. Would love for it to go to reporters.

That’s because crypto does not understand people. I have to go dev mode to get @shlind degen claims because she just follow the first suggest when adding a wallet that was a Coinbase smart wallet. Worst UX ever !
